Oceanside property in Arizona

Oh, how the wind doth blow! That is dirt blowing across the street. It is a really heavy sandy dirt. It does have shiny shimmer to it.

Standing on the basketball court! There is a flowerbed about 8" under the shovel .

This is my beautiful lawn...somewhere under there.

Hey, you just have find something to enjoy the work...as did Lisa, who was helping vaccum out the lawn.

That is not a misprint...we used the dry/wet vaccums and literally vaccumed out the lawn. We shoveled out the top layers and vaccumed the rest. Dumping the load of dirt into wheel barrows and hauled them out of the yard. Wet the piles down to keep it from blowing back in. We bought a little Ford tractor with a gannon on it that helped pull the dirt from the outside of the yard. Andrew and Virgil worked that for me. Thanks to Joel & Luke Dewitt, Robert Larsen and of course, Lisa Dewitt for all their work!! They earned money for Scouting and learned to vaccum.

It even snowed one day before we got it cleaned up. The lettering was done before it snowed.

We did it again...4th time! We finished vaccuming out the lawn, again. Thursday and Friday (Apr 9th & 10th), Virgil and I put in 5 hours each to get it done before it rained. And we enjoyed the little bit of rain we received.

Look at the fence, we found a way to keep most of the dirt out...yep, that is tarps!! And they work. The beautiful thing is, they are brown and silver...which matches the house!!! Blessings come is unusual packages. That dirt you see is not on my lawn!!! We are still working on getting it cleaned up.
Now...on to cleaning up the garden plot and getting it ready to plant... something about by the sweat of their brow...hmmmm.

We shoveled
